Desk and Chair- Green with Roses and Stars

Painted in thick layers of Annie Sloan chalk paint (I always sand items prior to painting to ensure the paint adheres nicely.) The decoration features an antique floral still life. The decoupage has been made by myself and printed in fade-resistant ink designed to last up to 100 years before any fading occurs. I have then hand-painted over the top to blend all of the components together in very thick, VERY textured layers and dribbles. The paint finish has been HEAVILY distressed, back to wood in some places and to reveal the different shade of green in the undercoat. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece. The text reads, in the green of the undercoat 'Go paisley sniff the nose and the haste', a quote from 'Desiderata'.
Finally varnished with a floor varnish to provide a durable finish. (The top has excess layers of varnish)
This is an Antique refurbished piece and though sturdy and sound, It may have life marks, dinks, knocks etc. The drawers slide smoothly. No woodworm. The insides are good and clean, no odour and painted pink. original handles remain, one is missing its flower shaped mount. Top left hand drawer is missing the beading strip from the top.
The chair is sturdy with no wobbles and is a comfortable fit and height for the desk.
